HUCO are a West German company with over 30 years of experience in the Automotive Industry. The range of pumps they produce are for universal fitment and come with a mounting bracket allowing them to replace any original mechanical or electric pump(excepting injection pumps). HUCO universal pumps come in standard and high capacity versions and are suitable for performance applications. HUCO pumps can be used as direct replacesments for S.U pumps and can replace specific models of Japanese OE fuel pumps used on Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi and Subaru .

Function
As soon as the ignition switch is in ’on’-position, voltage is supplied and the plunger of solenoid moves upwards and, consequently, fuel is sucked into the valve housing. While the plunger moves upwards, it triggers a sensorcontact and the current flows through the coil of solenoid will be cut. A spring mounted beneath the diaphragm will now push the diaphragm in its starting position and the fuel is being pushed through the pressure valve. By reaching the initial position the plunger triggers the sensorcontact and the whole workcycle starts over again. Service and Abrasion The HÜCO Fuel Pump is maintenance-free and almost without abrasion.
